This Dark Peak Walks Guidebook describes 40 walking routes in the Peak District gritstone and moorland landscapes. There are 35 circular routes ranging from 8km to 19km long around Edale, Marsden, Fairholmes, Baslow and Castleton, including Kinder Scout and Mam Tor. Plus there are 5 longer routes from 25km to 45km long exploring the Gritstone Edges, High Moorland and Deep Valleys in the Dark Peak.
For each of the 35 circular walks there is a detailed route description, accompanied by OS mapping at a scale of 1:50,000, along with interesting facts about local points of interest. The 5 longer walks are summarised in the final section, including a classic circuit of the Kinder Scout skyline.
